A river, a trail and a grouper sandwich

My friend Lynn and I decided to go on an adventure Saturday afternoon to St. Marks, Fla., exactly 15.7 miles from her apartment in Tallahassee.

There was a river.

There was a restaurant. (I recommend the grouper sandwich. You can get it blackened, grilled or fried — I went with blackened.)

Most importantly, there was a trail.

OK, we already knew all of these things were there obviously. But we wanted to take a trip down there because Lynn and I set a goal of walking the full 15.7 miles by some point in the fall. (If you’ve ever been through a Tallahassee summer, you’d understand why we’re not trying to do it sooner)

I’ll probably be griping about walking lots of miles in the summer heat on here, so here’s some pictures to show you where we’ll be walking.
