You never know when the mood might strike you to bake.
It might, perhaps come when you get home from the gym and realize you have a gazillion things to do before you get to work. And despite the gazillion things to do, you bake the cookies anyway. Then it turns out to be a really good thing because your boyfriend realizes he has a work potluck and he hasn’t bought anything to take. And you just look like a super, awesome smart person.
Subject A: Peanut Butter Cookies
These are seriously the easiest peanut butter cookies to make on the planet, courtesy of my Mom. (No idea where she got the recipe, so if I’m ripping off someone’s recipe, apologies.)
Ingredients: 1 cup peanut butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg and 1 tsp baking soda
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together peanut butter and sugar. Stir in egg and baking soda. Roll dough into balls and place them on baking sheet (Remember to put PAM on it first). Then, take a fork and press into doughs in a criss-cross pattern. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. (For me, it was about 12 minutes)
Now: Finish work for the day and then head off for an exciting birthday weekend adventure!
